Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at browsaroundtownnorthbay@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Microblading uses a handheld blade to create hair-like cuts in the skin. Think old-school manual method.
Nano Brows, on the other hand, use a super-fine tattoo machine and needle to implant pigment—like microblading’s cooler, smarter, longer-lasting sister.

Less trauma, better for all skin types (especially oily or mature skin), and they age like fine wine—not patchy like microblading sometimes does. More precision, less scarring risk, and smoother healing? Yes, please.

Typically 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and how religious you are with aftercare and SPF. It's called permanent, but it's really more semi-permanent (because trends and faces change).

Low-maintenance queens, rejoice. You’ll likely need a touch-up every 12–24 months to keep things fresh, but otherwise? Just keep them moisturized, avoid harsh products, and slap on some SPF.

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, rest assured I use high-quality numbing cream to keep you comfy throughout. Most clients say it feels more annoying than painful—like a scratchy tickle.

If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, on blood thinners, have uncontrolled diabetes, or certain skin conditions (like active eczema or psoriasis in the area), PMU might not be for you right now. Full list provided during consultation.

We map it based on YOUR face—bone structure, muscle movement, natural hair growth, and your aesthetic goals. No cookie-cutter brows here, just your perfect custom fit.

Pigment is chosen based on your skin undertone, natural brow color, and long-term fading. I’m basically a pigment mixologist—trust the process. No orange or gray brows on my watch.

Plan for about 2.5 to 3 hours. We don’t rush perfection. This includes consultation, mapping, numbing, and the procedure itself. It’s a whole brow date.

The second appointment (a.k.a. the touch-up or perfection session) happens around 6–8 weeks later. It’s where we fill in any faded spots, adjust the shape or color if needed, and make everything ✨chef’s kiss✨.
